Biography
Valentine Hueckel (they/them/theirs) creates music at the intersection of mood and narrative. Aiming to spark imagination and joy with groovy and memorable scores, they compose for videogames, film, performance, and fun. When not composing, you’ll find Valentine playing bridge or crowdsurfing above in a moshpit.
Recent projects include composing music for the videogame Project G.R.A.B. (2024) and indie films The Virus of Restlessness (2026) and Drifters (2024) and . Currently, Valentine is hard at work composing for the musical platformer Hop’n + Bop’n, slated to release in late 2026.
Valentine holds a Master’s degree in Music Composition from Mannes at The New School as well as a Bachelor’s from the University of Central Florida, where they studied with David T. Little and Alex Burtzos, respectively.

Meg

Collaborating with violist Katya Barmotina, I created an electroacoustic score that featured heavy rock music, elegiac solo viola melodies, “bardcore” pastiches, and modern takes on Renaissance musical styles.
Meg flips the script on Henry VIII and the Tudors. Daughter to the famous and beloved Sir Thomas More, Meg feels certain that she’ll follow in his steps as a brilliant scholar, with village idiot Will Roper as her trophy husband. But, as family secrets come to light, Meg is forced to question the life her father has cut out for her. Vogel’s comic and cutting feminist vision questions how we construct histories, and who we leave out of them. (Columbia University School of the Arts)
